No Weight Loss On Mounjaro
Tip 1: Timeline
What is my timeline for not losing weight?
Am I being impatient? Or is my weight loss timeline realistic?
General health guidelines are 1-2lbs per week. Mounjaro is not the golden ticket, but simply a weight loss tool.
Are my expectations unrealistic in the timeline in which I want results?
Take an honest self appraisal about weight loss goals and the timeline for those weight loss goals.
Are weight loss goals sustainable for long term health?
Keep in mind that diabetics may take longer than non diabetics to lose weight. If you have insulin resistance, it may take you longer to lose weight loss.
Tip 2: Conversation with medical professional
Have I discussed the lack of weight loss with the medical professional who prescribed Mounjaro to me?
If your medical professional is not communicative and/or not well educated on GLP-1, find a new medical professional who is well educated on Mounjaro, Wegovy, Ozempic, semaglutides and tirzepatides.
If you have insulin resistance, it may make your weight loss process slower. Other health conditions may make your weight loss process slower. Which is why it is important not to compare yourself to anyone else’s journey.
I recommend: _____(coming soon! Still testing as I will not make recommendation out of authenticity unless it is perfect for Countess Of Shopping community.)
From discussing with the medical professional who prescribed to you Mounjaro, when was the last time you had a blood panel?
A blood panel may show more comprehensive view of what is going on.
When was the last time I had a blood panel?
Am I insulin resistant? If you are insulin resistant, healing is going to take longer than the average-bear. Give yourself grace, kindness and the gift of patience.
Insulin resistant folks take longer to lose weight.

Mounjaro Side Effects
The most common Mounjaro side effects are:
- Decreased appetite
- Stomach Pain
You’ll notice it is a lot of gastrointestinal side effects….either it can come out or stay in.
Personally, just because I had one Mounjaro side effect at one dose didn’t mean I was going to have it for all doses.
And the inverse for me is true too. Just because I didn’t experience one side effect on one dose didn’t mean I didn’t have that side effect at a higher dose when I titrated up.
Always seek medical help from your health care provider if you are having severe pain, severe stomach pain, severe abdominal pain and severe symptoms mentioned above. Those can be serious side effects from your weekly injection and may need medical attention quickly from your health care professional. A rare side effect is thyroid cancer. You are at are at a higher risk for a genetic type of thyroid cancer if you have a familial history. Talk to your healthcare provider about symptoms of thyroid cancer.
If you are on diabetes medications, continue to monitor your blood sugar levels and discuss with healthcare professional about medical conditions while on this prescription medication.
