Mounjaro Lunch
Primary Focus of Mounjaro Lunches is:
- Protein
- Nutrient Dense Foods
Day 1 and Day 2: Typically during my Mounjaro shot week, I’m really not that hungry and don’t typically eat lunches on Day 1 and Day 2. My food focus is lean, high protein and nutrient dense veggies/fruits.
For me, I tried having prime rib on Day 2 and it didn’t do well for my stomach. This is why I have shifted to leaner protein on Day 1-2 specifically for gastrointestinal issues that can come as a Mounjaro side effect.
Days 3-5: I focus on high nutrient Mounjaro lunches
Day 6-7: Half life doses and sometimes food chatter can come back on Mounjaro on these days. I have to have quick, easy foods on these days.
My Mounjaro meal planning is most important on Day 3-5 and Day 6-7, but for different reasons.
Day 6-7 have to be quick and easy.

Example: Do I eat hard cheese? YES! I LOVE it and I have found no foods are off limits for my Mounjaro meals.
However, I reverse engineer when I’m going eat hard cheese (or any other higher fat protein) from my shot date. Day 1-2 does not fair well for my body.
I encourage you to find what works best for your body on Day 1-2 and that may vary from Mounjaro shot day 5-7 for you.

What do nutrient dense foods look like for Mounjaro Foods?
Choosing to focus on fruits and veggies accompanying protein selection.
Since I’m eating less on Mounjaro, I choose to focus on protein to help prevent muscle loss and also nutrients found in veggies and fruits.
When I’m making my Mounjaro lunch, I go back to is it nutrient dense foods? Am I eating as nourishing food as I can for this meal?
If I’m not making the most nourishing meal choices, I focus on making better choices at the next Mounjaro meal. This process has continued to develop my food relationship and food choices on my Mounjaro weight loss journey.
Nutrient dense foods and protein focus also leads to filling fuller-longer. Protein focus is the way to go for preventing muscle loss and staying full.
Mounjaro Food List
LUNCH IDEAS – Meal time can be stressful at my home. I bought low carb home delivery meals…side note I have a super enriched schedule (probably like you do).

Mr Freddy’s side eye game is strong. He also said they were great for low carb lunches and low carb dinners.
I may or may not have accidentally dropped some meat when cooking like Swedish Chef from Sesame Street.
The low carb meal only took 20 minutes to make and clean up is minimal. That’s one of my fav parts is the meals are so well organized, it’s easy to clean up.
For Mounjaro since I’m not eating a large quantity, it’s easy to have left-over Mounjaro Meals.

And my hot husband usually rates my cooking 1 out of 10. He gave my low carb meals a 9 out of 10 (I’m now a hero LOL).
