Mounjaro Protein Shake
Since protein is so important, I LOVE taking this Mounjaro & semaglutide protein shake. It’s six ounces, so I can easily chug the protein shake. And I can quickly get 20 grams of protein in.

How Much Protein Do I Need On Mounjaro?
After interviewing a GLP-1 Dietician who has their Masters Degree in nutrition, they shared that 100 grams to 120 grams of protein is needed for average person taking GLP-1 like Mounjaro, Zepbound, Wegovy, etc.
On my -75lb Mounjaro weight loss (so far!), this what quite a challenge at the beginning to achieve.
If I ate 3 meals and one snack, it basically meant eating 25-30 grams of protein per meal and/or snack!
High Protein Meals:

My favorite high protein meals are when my husband and I order high protein meal delivery twice a week. All of the fresh meats (you can get organic if you want), fresh veggies & fresh herbs come pre-measured and I don’t have to shop for them.

Best Protein Shake On Mounjaro
The best protein shake on Mounjaro that I love is is BIOptimizers Protein Breakthrough. It has extra protein of 23 grams of protein per serving with only 230 calories. It’s a great low-glycemic, high-protein meal replacement that tastes really good!
I like this protein shake because I can take it on the go. Also if I’m having Mounjaro side effects, I can simply screw the cap back on and save the rest in the fridge for later.
With 23 grams of protein, it’s easily a Mounjaro lunch or Mounjaro meal for me…particularly close to injection day.

How Much Protein Do I Need On Mounjaro
1) Blood Sugar: My blood sugar control changed. Protein is not spiking my sugars the way my other calorie intake did.
2) Fewer Calories: I found I actually eat fewer calories with my protein well-balanced diet.
3) Weight Loss: Because I was eating less because I was having enough protein intake, I was getting the best results for my weight loss goals.
4) Muscle Mass Loss: My muscle mass is better with the treatment plan w/ protein focus.
5) Strength Training: Because I feel healthy, I feel confident to add strength training in with regular exercise to help my overall health and muscle mass.

And I’m not actually hungry. And I honestly confuse thirst vs hunger.
