There are 6 Mounjaro doses:
- 2.5 mg (Starting dose)
- 5 mg
- 7.5 mg
- 10 mg
- 12.5 mg
- 15mg (Highest dose)
Mounjaro Dosage
First Month: The beginning Mounjaro dose is Mounjaro 2.5mg. When you first start, you will be prescribed Mounjaro 2.5mg with a four, Mounjaro 2.5mg in a box.
Second Month: You can titrate up after 4 weeks to the next level of Mounjaro dosage to Mounjaro 5mg.
Or, you remain at Mounjaro 2.5mg for another 4 weeks.
Each Mounjaro dose is in increments of 4 weeks as 4 pens come in each Mounjaro box.
Mounjaro Doses
Your medical professional and you will determine when to titrate up to the next dose.
It is not a race to get to Mounjaro 15mg. Slow and steady wins the race.

Mounjaro dosage for weight loss is the same dosing as diabetics.
The starting dose is Mounjaro 2.5mg. The highest dose is Mounjaro 15mg. And the doses stairstep up by 2.5mg.

Mounjaro 2.5mg is the starting dose. On Mounjaro 2.5mg, I stayed on for four weeks before titrating up to Mounjaro 5mg.

Eli Lilly is the manufacturer of Mounjaro. Eli Lilly’s literature for Mounjaro states that injections should rotate on the three Mounjaro injections.
For the first month and a half, I simply injected only into my stomach and rotated stomach locations. I
If it is/was working, I did NOT want to add too many variables by changing injection location.
My Mounjaro injection site rotation schedule I use:
- Left side of belly button on the stomach
- Left back of arm
- Left thigh
- Right side of belly button on the stomach
- Right back of arm
- Right thigh

Max Dose Of Mounjaro
The max dose of Mounjaro is 15mg.
There are several GLP-1 drugs in clinicals trials that are higher doses from Eli Lilly, the manufacturer of Mounjaro, and other companies like Novo Nordisk who manufacturers Wegovy. None of these GLP-1 injectables have been FDA approved yet for higher doses.
The highest dose of Mounjaro is 15mg.
