I love quick, healthy, simple recipe with my busy schedule for a healthy Mounjaro meal & healthy Zepbound meal. With 19+ grams of protein for two protein waffles that is easy, high protein breakfast will feed you or your family with low effort.

This protein meal is so simple with the great flavor for the fluffy protein waffles. 

Protein Waffle Recipe

The best part is you can make this to eat on for two days for one person or multiple people. The extra protein is one of my favorite healthy breakfast ideas. You can double the high-protein waffles for meal prep to have leftovers frozen for busy mornings.

The delicious Mounjaro breakfast perfect for my Mounjaro -79lb (so far!) weight loss journey. It is also the perfect breakfast with this high protein waffle recipe.

Kodiak Waffle Recipes

The homemade waffles can be made a few different ways than my recipe below. You could also add if you wished:

  • Skip the mini waffle maker and just make protein pancakes.

To increase protein per waffle:

  • Add a tablespoon of almond butter or peanut butter
  • Use less protein waffle mix and add in a scoop of your favorite protein powder, vanilla protein powder or chocolate protein powder.
  • Switch almond milk instead of water.
  • Switch some water with greek yogurt
  • Switch full egg with egg whites
  • Blend cottage cheese in food processor or high-speed blender. Swap out blended cottage cheese for water instead for protein boost.

After making the easy recipe, store leftovers into an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.

You can use favorite toppings like:

  • Fresh Berries
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Fresh Fruit
  • Maple Syrup or sugar-free syrup
  • Mashed Banana

High Protein Waffles

I love using Costco’s protein packed breakfast sausage. You could easily get breakfast sausage at your local grocery store for your breakfast recipes and healthy recipes.

To chop the sausage into bite-sized pieces, I used a Veggie Chopper. I highly recommend THIS CHOPPER (SHOP HERE).

Protein Waffle Recipe

Equipment

  • Waffle Cooker (I'm using DASH Waffle Maker)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Protein Waffle Mix (I used Kodiak)
  • 6 ounces Breakfast Chicken Sausage (I'm loving Amylu currently)
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • Cooking Nonstick Spray (I'm using Pam currently)

Instructions
 

  • Heat up waffle maker.
  • Mix all ingredients together to make protein waffle mixer, except Breakfast Chicken Sausage.
  • Chop Breakfast Chicken Sausage into bite-sized pieces.
  • Spray nonstick cooking spray onto hot waffle maker.
  • Scoop 1 spoonful of protein waffle mixer onto hot griddle.
  • Add 1/6 of your chopped up Breakfast Chicken Sausages to put on top of waffle mixer.
  • Add another spoonful of the protein waffle mixer on top. Close waffle maker.
  • Cooker for 5-6 minutes or until crispy.
  • Makes 6 protein waffles. Stays fresh for 2 days in airtight container. Freeze leftovers for quick breakfast or snack.

Protein Waffle Mix

The simple ingredients with the vanilla extract, whole egg and cinnamon are the best way to make protein traditional waffles. I love the dry ingredients with the protein waffle mix for healthy waffles.

You can switch the non-stick cooking spray in the recipe card for coconut oil cooking spray if you wish.

​And you can change brand of protein powder for addition of protein powder into mixture. It doesn’t take too much extra time to swap out the low carb options.
