I did not want plastic storage containers anymore for my food storage due to BPAs and wanted to switch everything to glass. Yes, there is bpa-free plastic but I wanted to make the switch to glass.

I tested and needed a variety of sizes for dry goods and a variety of foods that help me on my weight loss journey with easy storage.

Before testing all the best food storage containers, I ran them all through the dishwasher to ensure they were properly cleaned because I am a germaphobe. 🙂

I tested a variety of best glass storage containers for pantry including:

The glass food storage containers I wanted to test are airtight containers and have a tight-fitting lid. The first glass food containers I bought and tested were the large gallon glass jars with heavy glass lids.

The wide-mouth jar makes it easy to pour the food in to store food, while keeping it fresh. 

These were one of my favorites because the gallon glass storage containers are so big and can hold large quantities of foods like oats and cereal for example.

If you don’t need as large jars that take up much space, another smaller version I really like when tested was the tall 78 ounce mason jars with a silicone ring to seal in freshness. 

Chalkboard labels come with these for easy labeling. 

In addition, the overall value for these glass food storage jars is a great price point.

I like the hinge lid for airtight seal and freshness.

The containers are a great fit for your pantry or even to display out in your kitchen. I opted to put my protein shake powder and collagen powder into these containers so I can daily see on kitchen counter. I next tested the 50 ounce Bamboo Airtight glass containers. These have had good results for holding my chia seeds the last few months. 

The square containers and rectangular container make this great for maximum capacity countertop space. 

The rubber gaskets ensure that the food stays very fresh and truly is the gold standard for freshness. You literally feel the lid “popping off” each time you take the lid off.
