If you are navigating a GLP-1 journey like I am—whether on Zepbound, Mounjaro, or Wegovy—you know the “Protein Struggle” is real. To protect our muscle and keep our metabolism firing while the pounds drop, we have to prioritize protein.
In my most recent Costco trip, I managed to snag over 500 grams of protein to fuel my week. As someone who has lost 113 pounds and is now focusing on body recomposition and lifting, I’ve learned exactly what to grab (and what to leave on the shelf).
Love these finds? I actually have a full list of staples and secret tips I use every single week. Drop your email below and I’ll send my complete Costco Shopping List straight to your inbox!
🦃 The “Basics” That Build Muscle
When shopping for a high-protein diet, my dietitian at Nourish gave me a golden rule: aim for 10 calories for every 1 gram of protein. My favorite find this week absolutely crushed that goal.
- Kirkland Extra Lean Turkey Breast: This is a “double winner.” Just 2 ounces is 11g of protein for only 50 calories. It comes in a 3-pack, which prevents that “sloppy doppy” wet texture deli meat gets when it sits too long.
- Low Carb/High Protein Wraps: At 70 calories and 6g of protein, these are the perfect vessel for turkey wraps or my “high-protein pizza” hack.
- Amy Lou Sesame Ginger Chicken Crumbles: These are a total lifesaver for 2-minute lettuce cups. 2 ounces gives you 10g of protein.
💊 My Digestive Dynamic Duo: BiOptimizers
Eating 100g+ of protein on a GLP-1 can feel heavy because our digestion is slowed down. I rely on two specific powerhouses to keep things moving:
Magnesium Breakthrough: A total GLP-1 must-have. It contains seven forms of magnesium to help with muscle recovery after I lift, better sleep, and (most importantly) keeping constipation at bay.
MassZymes: This is my “protein demolition crew.” It breaks down those Costco turkey wraps and chicken crumbles so they don’t sit in my gut, effectively preventing “protein bloat” and sulfur burps.

🍩 The “Zazoo” & New Finds
Not everything has to be “puritan” to work! I found some incredible new items that add a little fun to the diet:
| Item | Protein | Calories | Why I Love It |
| Elite Sweets Donuts | 10g | 190 | Only 1g of sugar—perfect for a “sweet treat” that still hits goals. |
| Kevin’s Lemon Chicken Soup | 12g | 140 (per cup) | Clean ingredients and tastes homemade. |
| Bone Broth (Ginger & Turmeric) | 11g | 45 | Gelatinous and healing for the gut. |
| Seeds of Change Protein Bowls | 13g | 420 | Great base; I mix in 99% lean ground turkey to boost it! |
🚫 What I’m NOT Reordering
Part of “Royal Living” is knowing when a deal isn’t worth it. Here is what stayed off my list this week:
- Kinder’s Buttery Buffalo Sauce: Too spicy! If you love heat, go for it, but it was a “no” for me.
- Sea Salt Protein Pretzels: They’re okay, but the Everything Bagel version is 100x better.

🥑 Final Pro-Tip: Avengers Assemble!
The secret to high-protein success isn’t just buying the food—it’s organizing it. When you get home, Avengers Assemble! * Slice your cucumbers and peppers. Portion your turkey.
Losing 113 pounds happened because I made the next “loving choice” for my body. Today, that choice is high protein, good hydration, and plenty of rest.
